पूर्व द्वार तज कपि निकरा। महेंद्राचल पर जाइ ठहरा॥
कहेसि सकल बृत्तांत सुनाई। जामवंत मन भयउ हरषाई॥
अर्थ:The monkey army left by the eastern gate and came to rest on the Mahendra mountain. Hanuman recounted everything that had happened; Jambavan's heart was filled with great joy.
सुनत जामवंत बोलेउ बचन। हरष प्रमोद भरे मन कन कन॥
राम काज कीन्हे बिनु मोहि। काल निसा गयउ न ओहि॥
अर्थ:Hearing everything, Jambavan spoke, every particle of his mind filled with joy and delight: "For one who accomplishes Ram's work, not even a moment of the night of death can touch him."
तब सब मिलि आए रघुपास। कहि सब कथा सुनाई खास॥
चूड़ामणि दीन्हि जानकी। लेहु नाथ पहिँचानि की॥
अर्थ:Then all of them came together to Ram's side and told him everything in detail. "Janaki has given this chudamani," Hanuman said, presenting it. "Take it, O Lord — recognise it as hers."
रघुपति कर मन भयउ हर्षित। नयन नीर भरि आए॥
लाइ लियो उर हनुमान को। देखत राम सुखदाए॥
अर्थ:Lord Ram's mind was filled with joy; tears welled up in his eyes. He drew Hanuman to his heart in a close embrace, and all who saw the reunion of Ram and his devotee were filled with happiness.
कहि राम तोहि काहि उपमा देऊँ। जो तुम कीन्ह ताहि का लेऊँ॥
नवधा भक्ति कहेउँ तोहि। और न मागउँ कछु मोहि॥
अर्थ:Ram said: "What comparison can I give you, and what can I take in return for what you have done? I give you the nine forms of devotion — beyond this I seek nothing more."
सुनि प्रभु बचन बिलोकि मुख। गात पुलक मन गद गद॥
करि बिनय हनुमान सुमिरि। रहे राम पद उर धरि॥
अर्थ:Hearing the Lord's words and seeing his face, Hanuman's body thrilled with goosebumps and his voice choked with emotion. Humbly he remembered Ram and remained with the Lord's feet enshrined in his heart.
यह सुंदरकाण्ड अगम अति। गाइ पाइ जस तुलसी॥
जो नर इहि कथा सुने। दुख न व्यापहिं ताहि कबहीं॥
अर्थ:This Sundarkand is most profound; by singing it Tulsidas attained glory. Whoever listens to this narrative — sorrow shall never touch him at any time.
जो शत बार पाठ कर कोई। छूटहिं बंदि महा सुख होई॥
पाठ करत मंगल सब होई। राम भक्ति सुदृढ़ होइ सोई॥
अर्थ:Whoever recites this a hundred times — all bonds are broken and great happiness is obtained. By reading this, all auspiciousness comes, and one's devotion to Ram becomes firm and unshakeable.
तुलसी दास सदा हरि चेरा। कीजे नाथ हृदय महँ डेरा॥
प्रेम मगन नहिं ग्यान पाई। जन्म जन्म राम भजन कराई॥
अर्थ:Tulsidas is ever the servant of Hari; O Lord, make your abode in my heart. Lost in love, I have not attained wisdom — yet birth after birth let me keep singing Ram's praises.
जो पढ़े सुंदरकाण्ड नित नेमा। भय न व्याधि न संकट भ्रेमा॥
भूत प्रेत पिसाच नसाहीं। जो यह पाठ करे मन लाहीं॥
अर्थ:Whoever reads Sundarkand regularly and with discipline — no fear, no disease, no adversity shall touch them. Ghosts, spirits, and evil forces flee from one who recites this with devotion.
राम भक्त जो इहि पाठ करा। ताके हृदय न संशय रहा॥
सुख सम्पदा पाइ निर्मला। राम धाम जाइ अनुकूला॥
अर्थ:A devotee of Ram who reads this — no doubt shall remain in their heart. They obtain pure happiness and prosperity, and in the end they travel the favourable path to Ram's abode.
इहि महँ रघुपति नाम उदारा। अंत काल रघुपति पुर जाई॥
जो सुंदरकांड प्रेम हिय गावा। राम रूप तेहि नयन समावा॥
अर्थ:Within this is the generous name of Shri Ram — at the final hour such a devotee goes to Ram's own realm. Whoever sings Sundarkand with love in their heart — Ram's very form fills their eyes.
सुंदरकाण्ड तुलसी रचित। राम महिमा भरपूर॥
पाठ करें जो प्रेम सहित। पायें शांति भरपूर॥
अर्थ:This Sundarkand composed by Tulsidas is brimming with the glory of Ram. Whoever reads it with love shall be filled to the brim with peace.
